: I bought one for my nephew for Christmas (DS114) with Auto Star. I have no such problem with the one I bought, His father and I checked it out. It was tight and sturdy. I also know that "floor models" are usually put together wrong or incomplete. Sometimes backwards. Sky & Telescope did a review on this scope and gave it good marks. : See if this palce has any reviews. What is your opinion of this scope. I had a couple of telescopes (60 and 80) refractors when I was a kid so I considers myself to have somewhat of an understanding of astronomy. I couldn't seem to find that review from Sky and Telescope and was wondering what you think of the scope overall jason |
