Hello all,

I was thinking about buying a Meade DS-127EC (5 inch reflector). I visited a local department store which caries up to the DS-114(4 1/2 inch). What I noticed on the floor model is that that the elavation way very loose and probally had about 5 degrees of play in it. Now for a telescope this would be very bad. I was wondering if this is just a case of a broken or improperly setup floor model or is this the way that the Meade DS line is. I find it hard to belive the the later from a company like Meade.

Does anyone have any experence with this line of telescopes that could send some of there experences my way.

Thanks in Advance.

Jason Alexander
