: Dear friends, : Star charts usually are displayed as two circles put together. The circles have they zodiac signs and the names of the months, along with roman numerals. : What is the wat to us these? What can I learn from them? Is it as simple as" This is the month we are in, and this is what we can see?" I am sure there is more to it than this. I just hope no question is a stupid question. : andy Good question Andy, You are on the right track, the star charts do represent what you can expect to see, once you have yourself oriented propwrly. There should be instructions with the chart that tell you which direction to face, and which way to hold the chart for a particular month, and for your approximate location. They can be very confusig if you are just looking at them on the kitchen table, because they are drawn as 2 dimensional maps, of a 3 dimensional view. The important thing is to note where the horizon is, and remember that depending on where you are standing, you can't see everything that is shown on the chart. Some of it will be below the horizon, and some of it will be behind you. Hope this helps a little, Dean
