I will be in Phoenix for a week and then to Soa Paulo Brazil for a week on business. I have never been south of the equator and I am new to the astronomy hobby. I will be bringing my 7X50's along an hope to find some dark sky. Are there any special objects of interest in the southern hemisphere that I should try to locate? Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help...Harold
