I have been around Tasco scopes before. They are more or less a "department store" Telescope. I usually advise people not to buy them. The quality I have seen on these scopes is not good enogh for me anyway. I had a friend that had a 4.5" reflector from Tasco. The focuser broke after 2 outings, the mirror wouldn't stay collimated. The tripod was very wobbly. The finder scope was nearly impossible to use. I have seen the same kind of quality in some of the others. There may a few "good" ones out there. But I haven,t seen any. There are many inexpensive scopes that are of good quality. One good place is Orion Telescopes. www.telescope.com
