As long as any money for Astro-Phyisics or Astronomy in general doensn't have any pay-back rewards, funding is small. Politics plays a big part in Astronomy. Should link to some of the off-shoots of NASA. There are some political pages that will bogle your brain. Like did you know that there are people who are trying to get a grant to study if Pluto is really a planet or planetoid?!? And others wanting the government to declare that pluto doesn't really exist!! I'm not kidding. It is indeed a shame. |
