This happens. This happens all the time. But don't despair! When I read your note I took out (dusted off) an old Meade 60mm (2.4") and looked for deepsky objects. I found and could see M13 Globular cluster in Hercules. M31 Andromeda Galaxy. NGC869&884 Double cluster in Perseus just left and below Cassiopeia. Though it's not great, it did work for me. It was by the way very good on Jupiter & Saturn. If you really like this Astronomy stuff break down and buy a better quality scope. |
