I've had the same question as the original post. I think I understand now, but maybe someone can confirm. Would a 1.25 eyepiece simply provide a wider view, but at the same magnification? Is that the only advantage? I guess I'll call Meade for the free adapter (that's cool, 'cuz I was trying to find where to buy one!). But I've read that the adapter can be a bit shaky. Would it be worth it to replace the whole focuser (if possible) with a 1.25 focuser?
I have a Meade 114EQ-DH4. A great deal at Sams Club.

Thanks.

Paul
