With any Ultra wide EP`s, you can`t really go wrong. They are nice with their wide view and clarity and easy eye relief. Panoptic and Naglers are considered top of the line and yes they are pricy. The Ultima EP`s are very good EP`s for the price. High end Plossl`s are in my opinion the minimum I would go in type of EP. With a 26/25mm and a 18/17mm Plossl and a Shorty barlow, you have in essence 4 EP`s. Televue has APO Barlow that is outstanding in perfomance, but pricy. Orion has their 7 to 8 element Ultrascopic EP`s that perform very well for their price. Most folks buy the Nagler/Televue EP`s for APO refractors or SCT`s. On a Dobs, they can be used, but a decent Plossl is basically all you need. Doesn`t hurt to have maybe a 7mm Nagler for planets. For general viewing, Plossls are all you need. This is my experience on the matter. Go for the High End plossls. Also give Orion`s Ultrascopic EP`s consideration. Good Luck!!
