Due to my eyepiece fetish, I have a wide-ranging but relatively inexpensive assortment of eyepieces:

40mm Spectiva Plossl
30mm Celestron Ultima
25mm Spectiva Plossl
20mm Apogee Carton
16mm Apogee Super Plossl
10mm Spectiva Plossl
6.7mm Meade Ultra Wide Angle
3.8mm Orion Ultrascopic
7-22mm Apogee Zoom

Not that that info was important for my question. I am wondering if those expensive Naglers and Pentax and other eyepieces are worth getting if you don`t have a super expensive/high quality telescope. To be specific, I have an f/4 8" Orion EQ Newtonian... is it a waste to get the expensive eyepieces if I don`t have a Takahashi or TeleVue or other high-quality scope?
