The more magnification you use, the less focus and sharpness you get. The atmosphere makes it impossible to focus much over 200 - 250x most nights. So if your buying all this stuff to get magnification well over 250 - 300x your not gonna be using it all that often. If you ask me, the money would better spent getting a high quality eyepiece that will put you in the 100 - 150x range if you don't already have one. And by high quality I mean a good PanOptic, Teleview, Nagler or Meade with a 68 degree + apparent field. They average about $300 and are well worth it. You'll use it all the time, real high magnification you won't use that much. Good Luck. Keep us posted.
