Orion Epic ED-2 Series Eyepieces

I am new to astronomy my wife got me a telescope
from the home shopping club. It is a Galileo FS-102 (F1100 X 102 mm ),the eyepieces have no
thread on the inside to accept filters. I was thinking of buying the ED-2 series eyepieces from Orion. Does anybody know if these are a good buy for the money?
