Is A Paracorr Needed?

Does anyone have experience with a Paracorr corrector? Does it really improve the image in modern wide angle eye pieces (82+ Degrees). Is it even needed? Companies such as Meade state with their Ultra Wide Angle eye pieces "extreme image sharpness over an amazing 84 Degrees".
