This might be a case where investing in a pair of glasses with corretion for distance viewing only is warranted. This will allow you to look at the sky, through the finder, and through the eyepiece all with the same focuser settings. This also has the advantage that other viewers can also take a look without the necessity of refocusing. I long ago gave up the fancy glasses for use with the telescope. My biggest problem is not being able to accomodate the different focus distances required when viewing distant and close objects. A bit of astigmatism also rears its ugly head. A simple pair, hopefully inexpensive, glasses is the best solution.
