Hi Robert,
A really good Barlow should be a start to any selection of eyepieces. I used a number of different types and recommend the Meade APO 2X as an excellent choice. Stay away from the so called variable power Barlows though as they are usually bothered by internal reflections. With a good Barlow, you now have a 26 and a 13. The Meade Super Plossel eyepieces are very good and you really don't need the super expensive wide apparent field types so you can save your money, unless you have it to throw away. The biggest advantage to using a Barlow is that you get better eyerelief at high powers. As to eyepiece focal lengths, a 32 or a 40 would be good for the lower powers and a 20 and possibly a 12 for the higher. Remember, a good Barlow gives you two focal lengths for each eyepiece.
