Don`t know what kind of scope you have. If you have a reflector, chances are that your secondary mirror is out of whack. Needs to be 90 degrees permendicular of your primary mirror and straight up into the focus plane of the EP. If you have a refractor, then the diagonal could be out of collimation or your main lens is off. Collimation of a primary mirror wouldn`t really cause that, so I believe it to be the secondary needs adjusting or collimation depending on the scope you have.
