QUALITY BY DESIGN IS A LITTLE MISLEADING,
BECAUSE EACH TYPE IS SUITED TO DIFFERENT USES
IE PLOSSL-GENERAL PUPOSE
NAGLER-DEEP SPACE.
BUT I DO KNOW THAT RAMSDEN AND HUYGEN EYEPIECES
HAVE ONLY TWO LENSES AND ARE VERY CHEAP TO MAKE
WHICH IS WHY YOU MAY FIND THEM WITH MAINLY JUNK SCOPES.

LOOK ON THE NET, THERE ARE VERY GOOD SITES THAT EXPLAIN THIS USING A BEWILDERING ARRAY OF PICTURES AND DIAGRAMS.

ASSUMING, YOU CHOSE THE CORRECT TYPE OF EYEPIECE FOR YOUR PREFERED ACTIVITY (DEEP SPACE/SOLAR SYSTEM ETC)

THEN YOU GENERALLY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

I SUSPECT THEY WILL BE POOR QUALITY BUT HAVE A LOCAL ASTRONOMY SHOP INSPECT THEM FOR YOU IF YOU ARE NOT SURE. ALTHOUGH IF YOU LIKE WHAT YOU SEE THROUGH THEM THEN JUST ENJOY NOT HAVING TO PAY FOR NEW ONES,(I SUGGEST A FEW HIGH NEW HIGH QUALITY EYEPIECES WILL IMPROVE YOUR VISTA IMMENSLY)
