Does anyone else have this problem?

I have 2 plossl eye pieces and a barlow,
for my 10" newt. i have tried everything in the book to clean them.

most sources sugest iso-propyl alcahol,
but upon using this i get patches on the lenses, where the alcahol has stained leaving little islands.

no matter how i try to do it i still get these smudges, and i am at my whits end.

(and yes this is extremely good iso-propyl alcahol with no addatives and using hospital quality cotton)

what do you people do??
