I am in the middle of planning a two story building with a metal dome on top to get better horizon to horizon viewing. It will be somewhat unconventional as I am unstalling a moving floor to be able to move myself and company up and down to get the ultimate in comfortable seating position for viewing.
It will be a concrete foundation and 17 foot tall poured concrete pier, woodframe and stucco construction and I am still working on dome identification but I am leaning toward the DeMuth hemisphere and I will have to fabricate in the shutter.
