| Looking For A Used Silo Top

I am planning to build an observatory up in the mountains east of San Diego at the 5000' foot level. I want to mount a Meade 12" LX200 and want a weather tight dome to enclose it in. I have heard of using used silo tops but I don't know what the issues are nor where to find one.
