I’m a beginner and considering to buy my first telescope after using my binoculars for some time. I have decided between the Nexstar 8i or the Nexstar 5i. The difference of money is not an issue but portability is. The question is: Am I sacrificing too much portability by selecting the 8i? and would I get a significantly better telescope if I choose the 8i?
