New Owner With Black Spot In View Through Eye Piece

Hi- I just purchased a new 8i and tried looking at Mars earlier tonight. I got some good visability but in every view through the viewfinder I had a large black spot that appears to be something on the lens, I cleaned the Corrector Plate but it did not help. Can anyone tell me what to do about this?
