Caveat To The F/6.3 Focal Reducer

Scott,
I have a Celestron f/6.3 focal reducer and also value the wider field of view. I have been shocked, however, when using the focal reducer with a wide-field (17mm Nagler) looking at the moon. The secondary mirror becomes visible in the eyepiece as a large black object that moves around as your eye moves... ugly! Star fields look fine, but the moon is right out.
