Perhaps instead of contacting the two hardware vendors, you should try your software progam's tech support. Still, it does seem silly that Celestron would claim Dell computers were somehow to blame. I have a Meade scope that works with my Dell notebook and Starry Night Pro. It's probably a question of either 1)software not working with your particular scope, or 2)having the wrong kind of port (USB vs RS-232 or parallel or whatever).
