If you're looking for a wonderful visual experience, try the TeleVue Naglers. Yes, they are expensive, but the visual results are simply stunning. I have a 9mm Type 1 Nagler (an older design) and a brand new 17mm Type 4(?). The 17mm eyepiece is an amazing gadget: 82 degree FOV with wonderful contrast. Unfortunately, the 17mm requires a 2" star diagonal, so you might want to try one of the shorter Naglers that are 1.25" and 2" capable.

The TeleVue Radians are also terrific. I was torn between a Radian 8mm and Nagler 9mm and bought the Nagler.

Ok, if you're not confused enough, try this site (http://www.weatherman.com/ep30.htm) for a reviews of eyepieces from all over the map.
