The CM1100 comes with a 1.25 diagonal. A buddy of mine has one. He purchased a 2" diagonal and a few 2" eyepieces. The extra weight from the diagonl and the eyepieces gave him bad balance problems with the back of the scope being too heavy. He called Celestron for help. They told him the scope was designed for 1.25 diagonal and eyepieces. If he changed something, he'd have to figure out how to fix it himself. They offered no help. Who recommended the Axiom 2" for that scope? Was it Celestron? If so ask about the balance issue. If not, call and ask anyway. My buddy bought the Teleview. Maybe the Axiom is lighter. I don't know. Definately look into that first. Call Celestron! Keep in touch. I'll find out how my buddy fixed the problem if you buy and encounter the same problem.
That's it;
BOB SAL
