the whining, pencil-pushing bean-counters at the company are getting their way. Why include a $50 eyepiece w/ the scope when you can give a $35 one instead [especially when i suspect Celestron sells at least 10 of the plossls for every 1 SMA... i'll bet dollars to donuts they got an oversupply of the SMAs and figure the customer will just go ahead and buy the plossl as an 'upgrade' so this way they reduce the stock of SMA's and sell more of the more popular plossls at the same time]?

Just my 'take' on what MIGHT be going on here [as you can see i have about the same opinion of accountants as i do lawyers].
