Thanks for your information. I concluded the aperature outweighs the extra pounds so I ordered the latest GPS11 upgrade from Woodland Hills Camera in CA! They were very accomodating and agreed to ship the latest scope, which they just received 3 new ones in the day before I called. (They do not add shipping charges to the list price). They had the best deal around and the saleperson Mark actually is an amateur so he has used all of the equipment.
