Celestron Tech Support responded to an email that I sent about the pointing to North problem. They acknowledge that "the electonic compass does not take into consideration the magnetic deviation from celestial north and magnetic north." They said "they are working on an upgrade for this and it should be ready sometime in the summer." I am to check back with them then. Until then we will have to continue with aligning the deviation.
