Hello any one can tell me about a succesfull experience making CCD imaging with the Meade LX 200, 8 inches F10? I also own a new model Sony Vaio laptp with windows XP and a polar wedge

I'm looking to buy a CCD camera but the price range is as wide as the broad range of experiences from frustrating to good I've read in this and other forums.

I don't have the patience to experiment I rather pay for a proven equipment combination that works from the start.
