Fastar 8" With Meade 416xte?

Hi folks,

I've got a Meade 416xte camera that I've been using with my Celestar 8. I'm thinking of upgrading to a Nextar 8 GPS to get the better mount, tracking, and fastar ability.

My question: is it foolish to contemplate using the 416 with the fastar adapter? I'm concerned that the 416's size will block too much of the incoming light. Has anyone tried this?

Thanks,

Andre Paquette
