Hello. My friend and I share a Meade 12" LX200 in his observatory. We have owned the Meade 416xt and now own the Sbig STV. We never got good results from the Meade 416xt and it was very frustrating so we sent it back and got the Sbig STV. In my opinion Sbig is all around better for CCD imaging. We are thinking about getting the Sbig St-237 for color imaging but for now we are using the STV as an autoguider and taking 35m pictures with our cameras. Well all I can tell you is to do your homework.
Jeremy
