I own a Meade 8" LX200 telescope aswell as a MeadePictor Model 216XT Autoguider/imager. I struggle to focus the CCD camera at night, and tried a daytime shot. After focussing the telescope on the object using a 9mm Illuminating Reticle eyepiece, I placed a cardboard cover with a 3/4"hole in front of the objective lens. I then connected the pictor& laptop PC and started the pictorview software. After a wile I got an image on the screen. In the process of focussing the image, everything went blank and there was no communication with the pictor. I checked all the cables - nothing wrong. The powersupply box felt warm, but not to worry about. I turned the power off and tried a bit later, without success.
What did I do wrong? Please help!!!
