A friend just received the ST-237 CCD from SBIG. In minutes he was taking images of the orion nebula. In one day he snagged the Horsehead Nebula. In one week, he snagged the asteroid Hebe and built a mosiac of the moon. He uses MaxIm DL software for camera control and later processing.

This is all on a C8 by the way.

I have never seen such quick and remarkable results from equipment.

My first impression of all this is SBIG is doing something right.

Please share your experiences with CCD equipment.

Sincerely,
John
