Gravity is caused by the warpage of spacetime by rest mass = m^2c^4 = E^2 - p^2c^2, and has nothing to do with velocity. Velocity causes an increase in relativistic mass = m0/((sqrt (1-v^2/c^2)), but relativistic mass does not cause spacetime curvature, and it is also a somewhat outmoded concept. Gravitons are the proposed mediating particles of the gravitational field in quantum general relativity, but this is presently only a conjecture from which the infinities cannot be renormalized. Highly Curved spacetime can slow time as seen by a stationary far away observer, but how gravitons fit into this picture is not clear. |
