Actually, if the hole were massive enough, the gravitational potential gradient would be so low that you wouldn't even notice the tidal forces. But the only way you could time travel would be by utilizing a Kerr rotating hole and entering a wormhole. However, wormholes are extremely unstable and require exotic matter (negative mass - energy density) just to come into existence. In addition you would possibly emerge into a completely different parallel universe. |
