Scientists aren't really to sure what it is, but, what they have found out so far is that it seems to be the energy that makes electrons orbit the nucleus of an atom, it keeps everything in an atom together and in place. It also is found EVERYWHERE in the entire universe, there is not one single point in all the vacuum of space or on any planet or anything where you cannot find this energy, it's everywhere and infinate. Lets just say that if you were going to make a bomb, and you sheilded an atom from recieving any zero point energy, the atom would implode on itself and the energy given off would make today's nuclear weapons look like firecrackers....does that help out any?
