keep in mind also that a black hole doesn't "suck" things into it....if our sun were to turn into a black hole right now, no orbital mechanics of the planets would change one bit, we would still be going around it, it would just be a LOT darker and a LOT colder. The only place where a black hole does it's funky deeds is inside the event horizon.....
