: Yes, and since quasars are so distant, they existed when the universe was only 10-15% of the age it is now. Perhaps they were primitive galaxies which able to hold massive black holes in their centers, due to the fact that matter was more concentrated in the early universe ? But from my understanding it takes a long time to create a black hole so a quasar can't hold a black hole because there wasn't enough time for a black hole to form because the universe is so young at that distance,relatively. |
