: : : As matter accelerates towards the Black Hole, : : does it exceed the speed of light? : : No...it constantly accelerates up to the point it almost reaches the speed of light (it cannot go the speed of light, it has mass) _______________________________________________ I have struggled a little with the idea of infinite density, this appears to be what you're telling me. No surface area? I have heard quoted the fact that if the earth were a Black Hole, it would be about 3cm in diameter. I understand the earth cannot become a Black Hole, but what did that quote mean? Were they speaking of the size of the event horizon the earth would have if it were collapsed? -Adam
