: : : : :You're right - by bending space, it would be :possible to travel faster then light - :relativistically. From the point of view of :someone viewing your adventure from the :outside, it would seem that you had travelled :from point A to point B faster than the speed of :light. However, from inside your big stretched bit :of space, you would still be travelling the same :distance at the same speed, therefore from your :point of view, you would be travelling at :sub-light speed. : : By the way, I came up with a way of :creating, in a lab, the same massive :gravitiational forces you describe, but I can't be :bothered to write it all out at the moment. If :you're interested, e-mail me.

: The important thing in faster than light speed travel is that light speed is constant, no matter how fast you are going compared to how fast the source of light is moving, you will ALWAYS calculate the speed of light to be the same. Initial speeds don't matter when describing the speed of light, it is ALWAYS 300,000 km/s, so, be that account once a person sees you going faster than the speed of light, you, from your relativity will be going faster than the speed of light as well. and YES, I would like you to e-mail me about that gravity thing...

OK so I think that thing about curving the fabric of time-space is called opening a wormhole. But before we continue I just have to say that there is no possible way of going faster thatn light (well black holes but wiat that will come). in a since wormholes cheat time-space by curving time-space and taking a more direct path. you would go from point A to point B faster than light could, but you would not travel at that speed. There is one problem with that of the "matter". The universe has a determined amount of matter in it. No heres the problem, if in a parallel universe a passage could connect the two universes, everything we know would fall apart in a chaotic state! What i mean is that in each parallel universe there must be the same amount of matter. If the gate is opened and lets say the other me crosses through but I dont the inbalance would cause chaos everywhere. so playing with time-space will kill us BUT HECK WE WILL HAVE LEARNED A LESSON!
