: it seems the speed of light has been broken.....also, certain particles CAN escape from a black hole.....on stephen hawking's universe, he mentions that there are certain particles that are able to escape from a black hole and that these same particles are exceeding the speed of light

I saw the same program and was astonished to hear That particles can travel faster than light. If these particles have mass, wouldn't it then be logical that upon reaching the speed of light their mass would become infinite(E=mc2) or are the said particles without mass, like nutrinos may well be? some info please?
