This is a false statement, when you state that heat and light are one in the same. They are very different as a matter of fact. Light has no phase changes, therefore cannot be heated. It only produces heat because of the bombardment of particles onto an object which implies it doesn't possess heat before this bombardment. If there were to be no light, no life would exist. The statement you cannot have heat without light would then seem to be false just by knowing that nothing would exist without light.
