If gravity traveled at infinite velocity then we would be attracted to where the sun actually is and not where is appears to be.
(That is true. There is a name for that which I have forgotten)
The same would be true with dense binary stars and they would not spin in toward one another. But the inward spiral of binary stars has been proven which would indicate that the stars are attracted to where the partner star was and not where it is. For this to happen graviton transfer can not be instantaneous.
(No it's just that one is a satellite to the other. Just like the moon)
From you previous statement you seem to believe in faster then light (particle / wave ?) travel is attained.
(True. Otherwise black holes could not be detected as gravity could not escape the event horizon)
If this were the case could we use gravitons to communicate instantaneously?
(Virtual particles like entanglement, which by the way is also instantaneous, cannot carry information)
And could we also communicate from with in a black hole to beyond the event horizon?
(The mass and the charge is communicated, nothing else that I know of) |
