| What Is The Event Horizon

I would like to know any information about event horizon. I've heard this term being used in a discussion about black holes and I would like to know if anyone can give me a more detailed information on this topic. I have to do an extensive research on Black holes, yet I have no specific definition for this term. If anyone can help me, with a less complex vocab, if you will, it will be gratly apreciated.
