Don't understand the first one but the other one is plausible. But I heard another one a while ago in the science section of a newspaper supposedly some european scientist had grabbed wormholes that were supposedly around us stretched the two ends slightly apart and opened the mouths enough to let a signal through.
Supposedly the signal came out before it went in, sort off time travel, but more like faster than light travel. I guess this one is simlar to that idea.
