"Time is not a directly measurable variable in our mental model." Does our include me? In my model time is directly measurable. I don't have to go over your definition because I already know I'm not going to agree with it, that is if you really meant what you said in this statement which was copied and pasted from your website. I just don't see any advantage to saying d(tau) doesn't measure actual time intervals between events in spacetime.
