Atoms are at least 99% free space imagine a speck of dust in the largest cathedral. That is the nucleus. The electrons have even less mass. although it is not really known exactly what they are. Dispersion patterns and probabilities are used to describe where they are most likely to be found in the huge cathedral vault of the rest of the atom. |
