Quasars are NOT neutron stars... look at the recent strings "Things far away." I am an astronomy major, and I, too, have spoken with professors.
I think maybe you associate white holes (objects which continually shoot matter out) with the jets so common among active black holes and quasars. These jets are not matter being shot out of the object. They are a product of the extreme magnetic fields of these supermassive objects manipulating matter approaching the event horizon in the accretion disk.
I`m curious as to where you got your information from, could you please post some sources?
