This is a great message board and will continue to be so. Unfortunately it has recently fallen prey to some pretty childish and ugly posts. No big deal, we will bounce back.

In the mean time if you are looking for an alternative, try http://discserver.snap.com/Indices/104368.html It is a new discussion forum on Supernovae and Black Holes.
Not much is happening there right now, hopefully that will change.
